Research UK has developed a great online alternative to presents.
At www.giveincelebration.org you can set up your own
special webpage, where you can invite friends and family to donate
to the charity, rather than giving you presents. You can personalise
your page by uploading your own photos, writing a personal message
and using a selection of images and colours to decorate it.
The
site can provide you with regular updates on who has donated
and all donors will receive a 'thank you' email from Cancer Research
UK. It's also an easy way for long distance friends a gift that
really makes a difference. And, for those who don't have access
to the internet, there is the option to donate by phone or post.
